When changing your oil you smelled fuel in your oil. What could cause this?
Engine running rich. Get this fixed ASAP and do not drive until you do. Serious damage will occur to the engine. If you have electronic fuel ignition and you pump your gas pedal before starting, this can add un-burned fuel to your engine oil.

Why is there gas smell in your oil?
This could be the residual effect of a flooded engine. when to much fuel gets injected into the engines cylinders the fuel does not atomize properly and causes the spark plugs to short to ground or not ignite the air fuel mix because there is to much fuel and not enough air. Afterwards the fuel leaks past the piston rings and into the oil causing the fuel to become thin and runny. This could cause engine failure. Changing the oil is recommended

Asked in Chrysler New Yorker
What would cause your 92' Chrysler new yorker to choke and putt while you drive?
The car is probably flooding out (Too much gas to the carburetor) . If it has a carburetor on it then it probably needs to be worked on. Also If it has an automatic choke on it then the choke could be sticking (not enough fuel to the carburetor) . If it has fuel injection then possibly a fuel line could be plugged or bad injectors. I am not too familiar with fuel injection systems. You could also try changing the fuel filter. Hope this helps a bit.
