I don't really now, I'm looking as well, but I've found out that the first professional black player in Britain is believed to have been Arthur Wharton, who signed for Darlington FC in 1889. I don't think there was much racism going on there though.

There has always been discrimination in 'sports' . -If a winner looked, sounded or acted differently to the norm, someone was sure to object and discriminate.
