Is PETA helping or hurting the Animal Rights Movement?
PETA (short for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) supports the rights of animals and are trying to get more people worldwide to be more concern about animal welfare <DanielGC Edit> - Yes I know what they're trying to do but don't you think that with the increasing number of radical stunts they've been doing they might be doing more harm than good.
Would the federal government survived if the first president had not had widespread respect?
The federal government would not have survived because the people had thought that the federal government was trying to find more power for itself rather then for the people taking away their rights. After Washington had widespread respect he basically clarified that he was for the people and their rights.

Do gay people have better rights than the average person?
What are "better" rights? Depending on where we live, gay people may have fewer rights than straight people or the same rights. (For example, a group of lawyers in Minnesota has identified 515 rights in state laws that straight people have that gay people do not have.) I'm not aware of any place where we have more rights than straight people.
