how do you check transmission fluid in 2003 yukon denali
You can use any SAE certified rear differential fluid in your 1970 Chevrolet. The 1970 Chevrolet differential fluid can be checked from the differential fluid check port.
Look at the rear differential housing - you will see two plugs in the housing an upper and a lower. Loosen the upper plug - if fluid runs out of it you have sufficient fluid - if not - add fluid until it just starts running out - then replace plug.
A: Replace engine oil 1: Rotate Tires 6: Replace rear differential fluid
Drive the vehicle for several dozen miles to warm the fluid up. Center a drain pan under the differential and remove the lowest of the two plugs. Allow the fluid to drain - remove the upper plug to allow it to drain freely. When the draining is complete, replace the lower plug and refill the differential with the proper fluid type until it just begins to run out of the upper hole. Replace the upper plug. You're done.
Remove the fill plug, pump or squease in lube until fluid comes out of fill plug hole, replace fill plug.
