The Constitution really grants us zero liberties or rights. It acknowledges that we are born with certain rights and that the Government is not supposed to limit or take away from those rights. The Constitution grants the Government certain limited rights over us to make a civil and useful society. Other then those limitations we allow the Government to have under the constitution, we are free to do what we wish. The Constitution gives our Government certain (very limited) rights and liberties. We have chosen to allow our Government to have these rights to allow for a working society.

Because during the Revolutionary War (Era Due to the writing of Constitution and Bill Of Rights) They allow the permission of owning guns to defend yourself.
To give equal voting rights to women. Congress did not enact that amendment or any other. The STATES amended the Constitution to allow female voting.

The bill of rights doesn't allow the constitution to survive, but the ability to make changes or amendments to the constitution allows it to grow and change with time.

They abused first amendment rights by you-know-what. The constitution does not allow flexibility to the first amendment if it harms the public in any way.

It depends on who you are talking about. An anti-federalist just didn't support the constitution. Each person considered an anti-federalist disliked the constitution for their own reasons. Most people believed the constitution would allow the federal government to become too powerful. Which is why some states refused to support the constitution with out the Bill of Rights. The Bill of Rights (just for your information) was the part of the constitution that stated the people's natural, "God given rights", that the government could not take away.
Is a view that the constitution should not be taken literally. This loose interpretation of the constitution would allow the Federal Government the rights that are not explicitly stated in the constitution. Alexander Hamilton supported this theory which allowed for a strong central government.
The most important safeguard of personal liberty are all of the pieces of the United States Constitution. From the Bill of Rights to the amendments that allow for more people to enjoy basic rights.
