Well I have a 2004 Accord V6 with 95,000 miles on it and the hoses still seem to be good. I will change them when they become soft or cracked. So far so good. So inspect yours and if they look and feel good then leave them alone.

There are several different sizes of vacuum hoses in the 89 Accord. The hoses are at various places in the engine bay and under the dash, and sizes can range from 1/4 inch to 3/4 inch diameters.
Could be a vacuum leak or possibly a bad idle air control valve. Try spraying intake cleaner on your vacuum hoses while the car is running. If you notice an rpm change when you are spraying that should be the area the leak is at. Hope this helps.
It's on the firewall. It is a can, which normally is black, with two fuel hoses coming out the top of it.
there are two hoses coming from the radiator. the one on the bottom has the thermostat at the end near the back of the engine.
