There are some ankle shoes that won't hurt an old,wounded ankle. They need to be supportive around the top and have proper arch insoles. They can be found at specialty stores.
Well,you could do lots to hurt an ankle but,it really hurts. When you hurt your ankle you either, break the bone, sprain it, or just twist it. To heal it, you should put an ice pack on it and keep it still. If it starts to get worse talk to your parents or doctor.
