Check the base timing, Check fuel pressure, Check for Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC), Check for plugged catalytic converter.
could be the magnetic pick-up in your distributor, I replaced mine and it solved the problem.
you could check the fuel pressure and fuel filter.
It could be that the distributor was not the problem. Need to know what the code is and what engine you have.
try the distributor module . may not be getting fire.
Assuming the fuel filter has also been replaced, a bad distributor cap and or wires and spark plugs could do that also.
try replacing the coil.
No, a bad EGR valve would cause pinging at driving speeds or stalling at idle. Have you checked the distributor cap? Fuel filter?
Could be a burnt out fusible link. Could also be a loose connection or broken wire in your starting system.
Did you replace the fuel filter?
fuel filter
Probably the upstream o2 sensor (could be downstream). Had the same problem, took me a while to figure it out. Easy fix. I replaced both 02 sensors for about $100.
It could be tune up related, fuel filter, air filter, spark plugs, ignition wires, distributor cap and rotor. It could also be a bad fuel injector(s).
