Depending on the year you put the key in the door lock and turn it left then right. It should work
The alarm of a 2004 Honda Accord will go off when the battery is disconnected because it is part of the anti-theft systems programing. When the battery is reconnected the alarm automatically arms itself.
Can your pully holding alternater belt and ect. coming loose and belts coming off cause my Honda to jump timing ?
Jump power directly to the starter solenoid. Be absolutely certain the vehicle is not in gear if you do this, though.
Weak battery? Loose or corroded battery cables? Bad starter?
It could be a bad cap, rotor, pickup coil/reluctor, or a loose ground.
Jump on the hood.
Giving the year would help, but have you looked behind the ashtray? 1995 or older it won't have one.By the blower motor there will be a blue connotor that has two pins in it. Jump them it will flash the engine light.
Sounds like bad neutral safety switch. If you search web for info can jump to bypass and then if starts in park you know what the culprit is.
If battery is low alarm auto activates.
I don't have the answer to your question, but I have a similar problem and have tried a number of things. My Accord V6 is a 1996 and the same tachometer problems have been appearing and disappearing for about one year. Even the Honda dealership couldn't fix the problem. They have changed the plugs and rotors and the ignition kit. Unfortunately, whenever I try to bring the car in, it runs fine. Let me know if you get a fix.
You jump on it.
Jump on it;)
