Only the macadamia nut is native to Australia. Other nuts grown in Australia include peanuts, almonds, walnuts, pecan nuts, chestnuts, hazelnuts - in fact, all nuts except for Brazil nuts can grown in Australia.

Pistachios are introduced to Australia. They are grown mainly in the northern Murray River area between Swan Hill and Walkerie. They are also grown in the Central West area of Victoria, the Pinnaroo region of South Australia and have recently been introduced in Western Australia.
