Underneath the truck along the frame you will see the bolts, should be 6 or 8 of them probably 3/4 inch. If you do not have a bedliner, you may be able to see what look like carriage bolt heads in the bed, giving you the location to look underneath the bed. -- On my 2002 Silverado, there are 2 bolts in front of the tire and 2 behind it (8 total). Look along the frame to find them.
you should be able to remove the bed of the truck. take the bolts out of the bed and it should come off. easy access to your fuel tank.
It is easiest to remove the bed, there are only about 8 bolts ,wire harness and grounds the rest is pretty self explanatory .
there should be between 4 or seven bolts located on the base of the bed did you look under the truck for any bolts connected to the frame in the rear?
8' long
Easy 4 to 6 bolts.
The Chevrolet Avalanche truck has a unique design which allows one to lower the back window and fold the back seats down to make a bigger truck bed. When the back seat is folded in the cab is open to the weather.
i believe they're 15 mm the main bed bolts are 15 mm but there are two 13 mm's, one on each of the frame rails, that also need to be removed. these are for the grounds of the wiring system and are very important to remember to hook back up up your truck WILL NOT start :)
it should be under the upper raditor hose look for 2 bolts that should be it
