They are in the valve covers. On each side of the engine, on the valve covers, there are four black cap looking things with a bolt holding each one down on the side. disconnect the wires from those things, which are the coils, and then remove the small (i believe 10 mm) bolt that holds it down, and then pull up on it. The plugs are under the coils.
Hope this helps
yes - 8 spark plugs for a gas V8 engine
Yes.. all gasoline engines have spark plugs. In your case, yours has 8.
hello, i own a 99 Eddie Bauer and if they are the same motor which i think they are then your plugs are on top of your engine heads but below your coil packs. you will need to take the one screw out of your coil pack and your plugs are under them.
If the engine is a 5.4L then the spark plugs are underneath these long wire caps. They sit deep in the engine so be careful when changing you can easily get them crossthreaded. They don't have much thread that goes into the hole.
FOLLOW THE SPARK PLUG WIRES TO THE BLOCK. AND YOU WILL FIND YOUR PLUGS. A FEW OF THEM ARE HARD TO CHANGE BUT JUST PERSIST AND YOU'LL BE FINE

Check the Vehicle Emissions Control Information ( VECI ) decal located in the front of the engine compartment ( it will show the type of spark plugs to use and the spark plug gap )
My #1 cylinder is miss firing, I'm thinking coil or plug? I don't know much about this car.
You need the proper amp wiring lot if you are putting an amp and sub if not you will need the premium sound wiring kit it comes with two plugs. I have 2003 ford expedition Eddie Bauer and I have 2 12" subs and the stock 10" that comes with it. Sounds good but the hatch really rattles alot. Have any questions email me chadscamen@yahoo.com be glad to help.
To be 100% sure. Auto Zone will check your codes for FREE. It maybe spark plugs, wires or even a bad coil pack.
