If you're referring to the Ford Contour/Mercury Mystique, check sites such as eBay, Craigslist, local salvage yards, etc.
there should be a latch or your drivers key will open it
... good luck bud, expensive and obsolete.
Sounds like the latch on the inside of the door is broke.
Open the drivers door and look for an information sticker on the end of the door ( or the latch pillar ) It will show the tire size on the vehicle from the factory
On the drivers side of the engine
I believe there is a sticker on the drivers door (near the latch) with this info, also it may be in the owners manual.
I don't have pictures , but it is underneath the Explorer , below the drivers door , mounted on the frame rail on a 1995 Ford Explorer
drivers side
On a 2002 Ford Windstar : Open the drivers door and on the latch pillar will be an information sticker that shows the original size of tires on the vehicle from the factory
On a 2000 Ford Windstar : Open the drivers door , and on the latch pillar will be an information sticker that shows the original size of tires on the vehicle from the factory
On a 1995 Ford Explorer : ( # 17 is the fuse for the cigarette lighter ) In the fuse panel IN the drivers end of the dash ( if you open the drivers door , you will see the removable plastic fuse panel cover )
On a 1995 Ford Explorer : The fuse panel is in the drivers end of the dash ( the fuse panel cover is visible with the drivers door open ) ( fuse # 17 is a 30 amp fuse for the cigarette lighter )
