if you take out the front passenger wheel youll se the tranny housing, there youll see two caps, the lower one has a 3/8 square in which you put a 3/8 ratchet, this one is the drain, you'll see another some inches higher that has a 17mm head, this one is the fill cap, you must put the car level in stands and fill trough the upper hole until it reaches that hole.
heres a pic OS the caps
Also don't use Transmission Fluid.
Does a honda accord 95 automatic have a transmition filter?
Atf is fine for use in power steering except for Honda (requiring Honda fluid), and Audi (requiring mineral 7.1 or 11s) The major difference between atf and p/s fluid is that atf has friction modifers. harmless for hydrulics, nessacary for transmissions to shift smooth.
No, it requires 5 speed Honda MTF gear oil which is in the 40 weight range.
what kind of transmission fluid does a 5 speed manual honda civic take?
Honda manual transmission oil, go to your Honda dealer.
Honda Manual Transmission Fluid is recommended for a 5-speed manual B16A motor. Amsoil Manual Transmission Fluid will also work in a 5-speed manual B16A motor.
If auto through the dipstick tube
its a closed for life transmition
how do you find out how to check the transmition in a isuzu rodeo
check your cables/ wires and change you transmition fluid and filter. i wiggeled a wire to my transmition and it hasn't done it since, but its only been three weeks. good luck!!
Lack of transmition fluid can be the problem if not it should be taken to a mechanic for checking before it brakes. having a transmition repaired is a costly deed.
oil in the cooling system sometimes is due to a fault in the transmition oil cooling lines or resevoir, which in many vehicles the transmition oil is brought in to the radiator in which the fluid is cooled in a tank inside the radiator.check your transmition fluid level.
If it's the AW4 four-speed overdrive automatic, use Dexron III transmission fluid. DO NOT use Chrysler ATF! (of course, you may use Mopar's Dexron III, though)
Using any other fluid other than genuine Honda fluid or a fluid that meets the exact requirements of Honda fluid will cause rough or harsh shifts.
Probably not, but still worth a try
how can refill transmition fluid in BMW 530i 2007 gearbox.
Honda transmission fluid is specifically formulated by Honda for the transmission they designed and built. Using any other fluid will cause rough shifts. That is why you should only use genuine Honda fluid.
5W-30 engine oil.
Supposedly it is the very same fluid as Honda OEM fluid. But, do you really want to add a fluid to that expensive Honda CVT transmission that is not Honda approved just to save a few dollars?
where is the brake fluid on a Honda odyssey van
If your Accord is an automatic, use the Honda automatic transmission fluid. With a manual, the Honda manual transmission fluid. I'd strongly suggest using genuine Honda fluid over a substitute.
10w 30 SF motor oil
