Depends on the type of engine, but in 3800 type, remove the plastic hood (the one that bears the number: 3800) and the thermostat housing should be on the right side. Follow the upper radiator hose, it is connected to it. On the thermostat housing, you will also find the air bleed valve of the engine.
You can find a manual for the Buick engine by checking the packaging the original engine came in as the manual is commonly transported with the engine itself.

It isn't always easy to find. Keep in mind that the engine is "sideways", so the front of the motor points to the passenger side of the engine compartment. Standing at the passenger side with the hood open, look to the lower left corner of the motor, and you should find the filler cap of the reservoir there.It is at the pump which is at the rear of the engine on the pass side. Find the alternator, reach down behind it, black cap.

You will not find it on the engine. It is mounted in the fuel line between the fuel tank and the engine. Look and you will find it.
