i have that very revolver and am missing the pin that holds the chamber in place i cant find any parts myself. Numrich Gun Parts Corporation is where i found mine . they have a complete list of parts for this gun .

It breaks like a Model 12 and on top of the mag trube there are screws. Remove them and the cap comes flying off along with spring and plug. Do not loos the parts, hard to find. Replace the same way.
Made for Coast to Coast Stores by Mossberg, it is a Model 479. gunpartscorp lists SOME used parts for your rifle on their website- check under Mossberg 479. Your rifle has been out of production for several years, so used parts may be your best shot (pun intended)
