an "AIR INTAKE" is only a tube which redirects the air filter location. to make your own "intake" you can follow the throttle body, (which where the air filter will follow) remove all of the inlet tube, air box and filter. you can customize a tube that will come from the throttle body, and route to a lower place than the old air filter allowing colder air to be vaccummed into the tb. This will cause a high a/f ratio allowing more hp to be allowed. DO NOT WASTE $200 on an aftermarket TUBE. its only an extended air filter. THATS IT

How you replace the cabin filter mazda protege 5 2003
It's located between the battery and the air intake. The top is black rubber not yellow.
It is a small square box near the beginning of your air intake. It has two Phillips screws in it and wires coming out of it
On my 1997 Protege a hose runs from the valve cover to the air intake assembly. Where the hose connects to the valve cover is the PCV valve.
