I need a code to unlock the radio in my 98 bonneville.
If the code is not written down somewhere in the vehicle or in the owner's manual, you will need to get the serial # off the radio chassis and take it to a GM dealer. With that serial # they can tell you the code. Sorry, but there is no other way.
If you have lost the radio code, there are two places to check for it. Open the glove box and on left hand side you will see two white stickers. One should be the 5-digit radio code. Someone, I am guessing in the Service Department of my local dealership actually wrote my radio code on the right strut mount in permanent marker.
Double DIN.
Behind the front bumper and grill and in front of the radiator.
remove the 2 plastic side panels. then you will see 4 small holes, insert a coathanger or other small object in to each hole and push away from the radio. then pull out the radio

relay is stuck...
Open the radio from panel and take Serial number of the radio and call Acura dealer and get the radio code
If you have never entered a code of your own, there is a secondary code in the radio to unlock it,but you have to go back to the dealership to have them recover it for you.

When you purchased your vehicle, you should have received a card that lists the four-digit security code for the radio. If you do not have this you have to call the dealer and give them the serial number of the radio to get the code.
