Try an auto shop which specializes in exhaust systems. Otherwise, you can try an internet search for off-road or aftermarket exhaust systems.

I would say it is romantic.
I replaced the cracked/rusted cat conv on my 94 geo metro and ran a straight pipe to the previously installed new muffler (rear half of car). *Then the exhaust noise was very loud and started to make a raspy metal sound at certain rpm's (like when accelerating). It seemed like the car 'lost' some power at higher speeds 100km (65MPH) and struggled up hills. *The muffler shop said I just had a cheap muffler and these small engines designed to have multiple resonator chambers (cat conv and muffler). So I bought a universal cat conv and had it installed. The exhaust noise is now whisper quite from front of engine to behind rear seat, then can hear the raspy louder sound (like the cheap want-to-be hot rod sound on cars) * I'm wondering if it's possible to 'blow' a muffler by using straight pipe (without extra back pressure?) of cat conv ?
Don't buy used unless you can test for flow since they become restricted after their chemical exchangers become exhausted. They are cheap at a muffler shop.
GM just wanted to save money that's it. The only problem is the muffler poping (noise) when it gets hot or cooling off. cheap muffler from factory

To legally make your moped go faster u can do all sorts of things. You can first try taking the baffel in your muffler out. It's the metal plate screwed into the end of your muffler. This might make your moped a little bit louder but it should make it go 5+ mph faster. Another way is to buy another muffler like a racing one. They can be as cheap as $100 brand new. There are also many other ways you could legally make your moped go faster but that's the most common thing to do.
The best place I've found to get your brakes replaced is the local muffler man. Any type of smaller garage in your area will be able to take care of your brake problem at a fraction of the cost of taking it to the Pontiac dealership.
