In Georgia (the Asian one), in the Caucasus Mountains. The quince originated there too. Asian Pears originated as a hybrid of the Caucasus pear and the apple in the Ili Valley, Kazakhstan later on. The Ili Valley is where apples originated. Crabapples originated in prehistoric Texas.
