In the fill port a few inches above the drain plug. It probably either has a recessed 3/8" square or I don't know what size hex place in the plug to insert a tool such as the end of a ratchet or allen wrench. Somebody could be more specific if you mentioned which transmission you have - or even what year & style truck you're referring to.

You add the type of manual transmission fluid specified in your owner's manual - nothing else.
On the 2002 Mitsubishis Lancer , you add the transmission fluid down the dipstick tube. There is a specific fluid for manual transmissions , that information is in the manual under Fluid Capacities.

There is a fluid check/fill plug located on the front of the transmission. Add fluid there until it is level with the bottom of the hole.?æ
