GM started using a "sealed transmission" There is a plug on the drivers side that is used to check the level and add it if needed. The sad part is that the engine must be running and the fluid at a particular temperature before checking it. I had the wonderful experience of changing a filter on one. The filter isn't bad but when I went to install the plug, it slipped out of my hand to an area I could see, but not access. Meanwhile I couldn't shut the engine off or the fluid would run out. After burning myself a few times, I finally got it back in. I recommend taking it to a shop.
Add automatic transmission fluid through the dip stick tube. No kidding!
You add fluid at the same place you check the fluid level. Takes a special funnel. If there is no place to check the level, then it is a sealed for life transmission.
Why is 2002 pontiac grand am oil leak where the sparkplug is?
If you mean transmission oil, you don't add any. The transmission is sealed, it never needs oil.
Inside the transmission oil pan
About 2 quarts but always safe to read your owners manual.
There is normally a plug on the upper side of the transmission under the vehicle. That is where you add oil. Add oil until it runs out. It is then full.
Remove transmission oil pan for access
On manual transmission until oil flows out of full level hole. on most manual transmission the refill hole is the oil level. On automatic transmission if no oil shows on dipstick add a quart at a time.
Inside the transmission - remove transmission oil pan for access
4.5 quarts with oil filter.
if manual transmission , it will need 90-grade gear oil
