Girl Scout Fun Patches (unearned patches, usually purchased as a souvenir of an event or troop activity) go on the back of the sash or vest. Some Girl Scouts put them on a Patch blanket.
Girl Scouts of the USA earned Awards and Official Insignia go on the front of the sash or vest and there are specific places for them. See Related Links for a link to the GSUSA web site which shows where the various Awards and Insignia are placed.

Girl Guides Australia have specific places for each badge/insignia.
Girl Guides of Canada also have specific places and the information can be found in the girl's program book.
Girl Guides of the UK are pretty much allowed to places the badges where ever they want with the exception of a few specific places for some insignia.

∙ 9y agoFor Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA), earned badges are placed at the bottom of the front of the vest on both sides and at the bottom and on the back of the sash. Some specific badges have specific placement.
