I believe it's behind just left of the glove box. Remove the glove box by squeezing the sides of the glove box at the hinges. It'll drop down, then just look to the left hand upper side and you should see it. It looks like a cylinder with a small plunger sticking out from the center.
A Dodge Durango does not have a water control valve in the heater plumbing. The cabin temperature is controlled with airflow control doors.

The heater temp blend door and actuator are located behind the dash assembly on top of the HVAC box. Unfortunately the dash assembly needs to be removed to gain access to it.
The air conditioning recharge valve on the 2003 Ford Explorer 4.6 is located on the low pressure side of the air conditioning system. Located on the line coming from the accumulator to the compressor is the recharge valve.
The low port for your air conditioning system is on the passenger side of the engine, on top of the accumulator (can). It is close to your electric fan motor for your heater/air conditioning. It has a plastic dust cap covering the valve.
