just follow the upper radiator hose back to the motor, it will be inside the the housing that the hose is attached to. The thermostat is just in front of the throttle body on the 3.1L and underneath it on the 3100 series engines.

Follow the upper radiator hose from the radiator to the engine and there is the thermostat housing. Make sure when you reinstall it the spring goes toward the engine. fallow the upper radiator hose to the engine and that should lead right into the thermostat housing is pretty hard to get at i had to bring mine to a local mechanic Just follow the upper radiator to the thermostat housing. Very easy to get at!! No need to take it to a garage!

The 1988 Beretta can run hot for several reasons. The Coolant could be low, the thermostat stuck, the water pump is bad, or there could be a blown head gasket.

Follow the upper rad hose from the rad ot the engine and there is a housing with the thermostat inside. TAke the 2 bolts holding it on out and remove the thermostat. When replacing it make sure the spring is toward the engine. Mine had three nuts. Piece o cake to change-20 minutes. 1993 Beretta
