under the glove box is a 4 prong multi connector( white plastic ) behind the blower. onplug it ( Very tight quarters). The Part it plugs into can be removed with 2 screws 5.5mm socket. Pull it down and the resistor pack circuit board is soldered to it. Part is under $30

∙ 12y agoIts right on the evaporator housing in the engine room under the wipers, it has a red sticker with the model number on it I believe. It's a pain to take it out. I need to replace it on my mom's '02 Town Car also, dealer wants 170 bucks for it and its one resistor for all Ford cars, I bet junk yard would have it for like $20. Hope this helps. Max
***** I took it out and called the Lincoln dealer to order one but they were closed because of Holiday so i decided to take it apart and i have found that one of the soldered wires was loose so i re solder it and its been working great since, if you have a solder gun it will cost you nothing but time to get to it and reinstall it.

I personally own a 2000 Lincoln Town Answers.com. Mine has EATC (Electronic Automotic Temperature Control).
With this setup an electronic blower controller is used in place of the blower resistor. The blower controller is located under the hood, nearly centered with the car, but slighty toward the passenger side. It is mounted in the HVAC ductwork just behind the engine. Removing the cowling made access a lot easier for me when I was replacing mine.
