On your 1999 Ford Ranger , 4.0 liter EFI , V6 engine :
I believe the EGR valve is just to the left of your engine oil dipstick
( when you look into the engine compartment from the drivers side )
The EGR valve is lower down and has a round shaped top
egr valve location on a 1997 ford ranger 23l
Yes, it does have an EGR valve.
The egr valve is on the front of the engine near the head. On a 6 cylinder it is on the passenger side, while the 4 cylinder is on the drivers side.
Under the hood
yes 2002 and later 30L are the only ones not equipped with an egr valve
At the back of the passenger side on the engine.
On newer vehicals the egr valve is located on ignition emissions system and on the older vehicals it is located on the intake manifold..
It's called the EGR tube.
check egr system, make sure vacuum reaches egr valve when is supposed to
I was looking on fordparts.com at the 2004 Ford Ranger with the 3.0 liter V6 engine and it doesn't list an EGR valve for the 3.0 liter like it does for the 4.0 or 2.3 liter
right rear corner of the intake manifold by the firewall
no its out side of the intake
