Possibly the fuel pump relay.
It is a 4L60E
No it will not. The 96 and 97 transmission bellhousings are different.
A diagram for a 97 Chevy Tahoe shifting assembly can be found at Rock Auto. This can also be found at Twin Charlotte.
Start with replacing the fuel filter.
Damper? I assuming you are talking about the regulator it is usually on the upper intake connected to the fuel injector assembly.
I have a '97 chev. truck and the fuel filter is mounted to the inside of the frame directly below the cab on the drivers side
YES The above answer is right. But the problem is that you will have to change the 97 computer, fuel pump, Engine and transmission wireing harness. You will also have to put the 700R4 transmission in that 97 Tahoe. Reason being is that the 91 computer that you HAVE to use won't shift the 4L60E that's in the Tahoe now. Your best bet is to put a VORTEC back in the Tahoe.
