fuse 21
Fuse? Relay? Switch?
Fully charged? Bad pressure switch on accumulator/drier? Blow fuse?
Yes there is.
First check your fuse for your AC in your fuse box, make sure it is good. Make sure your cooling fan is turning on when you turn on your AC, if not it could be your fan relay. If the AC compressor fan clutch is kicking on and off then it just needs freon. If the AC compressor fan clutch is not turning then it could be completely out of freon due to a leak, or you need a new AC compressor.
Where is the fuse for the a/c compressor on a 1998 ford mustang
Yes.
you have the mechanic do it for you
Bad clutch on compressor, unplug the wires from the AC compressor, replace fuse if doesnt blow fuse its in compressor, if blows then gounded wire
Put a new fuse in. Turn on the ac, make sure you have enough freon to allow the PCM to engage the compressor. If it pops when the ac is turned on then the compressor clutch coil is most likely burnt. The fuse blows to keep the rest of the system from frying. I recommend replacing the the whole compressor. Good Luck.
It is on the top of the ac compressor. It is on the top of the ac compressor.
You've lost enough freon so that the pressure safety switch will not let the compressor stay on. Just need to add a can of freon.
The ac system will have to be drained of freon and the pressure released. Then the compressor can be removed and replaced. Replace all o rings along the way as well.
