Look along the big black tube between the air cleaner housing (MAF sensor) and the throttle body. You should see a little plastic sensor with a two wire connector jammed into this tube.
On a 2000 Ford E-150 : The Mass Air Flow sensor is between the cone shaped engine air filter and the engine air intake tube . It is INSIDE a round shaped plastic housing
On a 2000 Ford Explorer : YES ( the intake air temperature sensor / air charge temperature sensor should be in the rear side of the big rubber engine air intake tube , located between the engine air filter and the throttle body )

On top of the engine. Everything between the valve covers is considered the intake manifold.
Connected to the air intake.
the sensor is located on the left side of the engine above the header. you need to remove the air intake to see it, let alone get to it. hope it helped
with the maf sensor
It is the intake air temperature sensor , and it,s located in the air intake boot.
the intake manifold is located on top of the engine, the piece that look like the tubbing is intertwining.
