The IAT sensor is the Intake Air Temperature sensor, and it is typically located in the air duct between the air filter housing and the engine. It sends an outside air temperature sensor signal to the engine's computer to help in determining how much fuel is applied to the injectors. On some models, the IAT sensor is incorporated in the Mass Airflow Sensor, or MAF. Yours may be one of them.
