It is on top of the valve cover.
The 3.2L has an ignition coil on each spark plug.
The ignition coil for a 2.5l v6 cost about $140.00 in NL . And at least 3 hours labour. My mechanic can't find the ignition coil on my 99 dodge stratus!!

It is important to have wiring diagrams on hand. A person can get an ignition coil wiring diagram for a 1987 Dodge Ram 50 in the maintenance manual.
The ignition coil is integrated with the distributor cap, they are one unit. On 3.3 Litre at least, probably the other engines too. If there's no coil wire to the distributor (should look the same size as the spark plug wires) then it's a good indication that the distributor is also the coil.
no
The ignition coil should be inside the distributor behind the cap. Remove the distributor cap screws, remove the cap and you will see the coil.
On my Dodge it was the connection pluging into the coil some times I have to wiggle the plugin from the bottom seems to work everytime.

If the motor is a 5.8L Windsor the Coil is directly under the distributor cap in the front of the motor on the right hand side.
