The air intake temperature sensor can be found on the top of your manifold intake. The sensor will be right in the middle of the intake manifold.
The air intake sensor on a 2003 Dodge Durango is located inside the cool air intake at the front of the engine compartment. It allows the engine to make adjustments based on the temperature of incoming air.
the Intake Air Temperature Sensor (IAT) could also be called the Manifold Air Temperature Sensor (MAT) some instances they are both.
INTAKE AIR TEMPERATURE SENSOR HIGH
the iat is built into the mass air flow sensor attached to the intake tube
It should be the plug on the intake just before the Throttle Body.
There are two, the ambient air temp sensor on the cold air intake just before the filter. And the Intake temp sensor on the intake itself (throttle body after the MAF.)
beside the thermostat housing
The intake temp sensor will either be a two wire sensor on the intake manifold or on the tube going to the throttle body. On a 3.9, 5.2, 5.9 it is on the passenger side front of the intake manifold. On a 3.6L it is on the air tube. As of current production, 2015, a Durango does not have a MAF sensor.
