It is located behind the glovebox. Remove the four screws that hold the glove box in place. You'll have to be on your back and look up under the glovebox to see the screws. Once the glovebox is removed you will see a black tube that supplies air to the vent on the far right side of the dash. Remove that tube by pulling out the one clip that holds it in place. Behind that tube is the cover that fits over the bottom of the blower motor. Remove the three screws that hold on the cover (there is a green and black coloured wires running into the cover) and pull it down. You may need to push down on the carpet to make enough room to remove the cover. Once the cover is removed you will see the blower motor. Three screws hold the blower in place. Behind the blower cover and to the left is a set of wires that plug into the blower motor resistors. Two screws hold the blower motor resistors in place.

The blower motor resistor is located on the lower right side of the HVAC unit housing inside the the vehicle under the dash on the passengers side........

The 1997 Dodge ram blower motor is located on the firewall in the engine compartment. The blower motor will be near the bottom, passenger side, firewall.

It should be on the passager side inside right behind the glove box just above the carpet level, just below the blower motor
