The coolant temperature sensor on a 2005 Dodge Neon is located on the cylinder head. It is close to the camshaft position sensor.

On the 2003, it is located on the back of the engine (by the battery). It is square and appears to be mounted horizontal along the same plane as the camshaft.

Haynes repair manual, Dodge Neon 2000 thru 2003. Book #30036 I think the question was where is it located on the car, not which book do I buy to find the location. It is located at the end of the cylinder head. Its the black plastic part with an electrical connector on it.
The cam sensor on a 2000 Neon 2.0 litre is on the driver's side of the engine right beside the battery. It is about 2 inches square and has 4 bolts and an electrical plug.
Sorry.....there are no 2002 SRT-4's.....03-05 only.....
