On front of engine, lower right (facing front of engine) behind harmonic balancer pulley. It is held on by two bolts (must remove balancer pulley to remove) and is the last item on the wiring harness that runs over the front of the engine.
In the back by the coil pack.

crank position sensor
It has a crank reference sensor by the crank pulley that adjusts timing and a #1 position sensor were trans and engine meet on left side of engine that starts spark sequence.
It's a pain in the neck, the sensor is under the engine mount by the starter and the mount has to be removed to access the sensor.
Check the Sonoma crank position first. If the sensor is bad then there will be no spark from the coil.

The crank position sensor is located on the engine block and passes between the block and the bell housing at about the 10 o´clock position as viewed from the front of the vehicle. The sensor extends down into the bellhousing to read notches in a disc mounted just ahead of the torque converter.
It's in front of the engine passenger side all the way down behind the a/c compressor.
I don't think it has one only crank sensor. It is right under the balancer it takes a number ten socket and then pulls out
The cam sensor is the distributor, The crank sensor is in the front bottom left side of the timing cover. Behind the balancer.
Crank Angle Sensor (location)i own a 98 Hyundai accent and the crankshaft position sensor is located just underneath the far right spark plug if your looking from the front of the car, about 5"-8". hope this helps.
