( in the trunk , and if it is a wagon it's behind a panel on the passenger side
of the cargo area )
For a 1999 Mercury Sable wagon : I believe you will find the six disc CD changer ( if equipped ) in the cargo area behind the panel for the storage compartment / service compartment on the right side

It's in the passenger side rear compartment storage bin. If its just the bin, you don't have the changer. I do sell the changers if you're interested. grg@wowway.com
On a 1999 Lincoln Navigator : If it is equipped with the six disc C/D changer , it is in the center console
that usually means your radio can have a disc changer added to it. a ford compatible disc changer. although, it may be a downgraded version which only shows the features but do not work.
One way to get a disc unstuck from a 6 disc changer is to try to hit eject while the car is off. This sometimes forces the disc to eject.

It is very simple to replace most Toyota Radios. If you have a radio with changer control unit and separate disc changer, my recommendation would be to with a disc changer that is built into the head unit. Check e-bay for cheap OEM replacement.
Call the dealer as there is an unlocking procedure.
Probably need a new CD changer. Cheaper to replace than repair.
The JVC CH X350 is advertised as the smallest 12 disc changer.
