The 2003 Trailblazer (GMT360 platform) uses a PCM and it is located on the drivers side of the engine. It has three connections bolted to it.
remove and replace engine coolant temperature(ect)/chevy 2004 trailblazer
The 2003 Trailblazer should have the 4200 I6 Vortec engine. You will find your ECT (engine coolant temp) sensor and coolant thermostat just to the passenger side and front of the engine. There should be a larger radiator hose going to the thermostat housing. If you can see your oil cap...look just to the left (passenger side) and down on the side of the engine. The electrical plug is your ECT sensor and below that...thermostat. It should be a metal looking pipe with a bend of about 90 degree. That whole metal piece is the thermostat as it is built into that piece with the bend in it.
On the Passenger side of the engine right behind the heater hose. the electrical connector is on the top of valve cover in the rear
Trouble code P0128 means: ECT Sensor Below Thermostat Regulating Temperature
Assuming this is a 4.3L engine the ect (engine coolant temp sensor) would be located next to the thermostat housing.
The Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor should be found on the drivers side engine head between #3 and #5 spark plugs.
I have a Grand Vitara 2.0td 2004. The ECT is under the alternator on the left side of the engine
It should be located on the data plate, that is located on the drivers door jamb - also will list tire sizes, VIN, max load capacity ect....
The MAF is located on the intake side of the engine, usually between the airfilter and the throttle body. The ECT (Engine coolant temp sensor) is usually located on the side of the engine block.
It could be a bad bearing in the idler pully, A/C clutch, ect. Try turning on the A/C to see if it changes the squeek.
needs overhaul rings ect.
NO it will not work. Everything is different. Cab mounts, body weith, ECt.
