It is behind the fuel tank, if you lie on the floor and crawl under the car from the rear you will see it, towards the middle of the car, resting on the fuel tank, a cylinder with two hoses, one at either end, secured with a bracket.
The fuel filter is under the body, midway mounted on the frame rail. it is a canister type, and takes an open end wrench, probably a metric 14.
fue filter can be located at the left rear tyre and you will need a 14 spanner to pull filter and a 10 socket to remove bracket.
14 = MAP sensor voltage below .16V or over 4.96V
The filter is on the top not in the bottom of your engine remove a black cap and you will see the filter almost on the middle front engine good lock you Will need a 1/14 wrench and an extension OK the above is the location for the oil filter but The fuel filter is a metal cylindrical piece located underneath the Sunfire on the passenger's side of the fuel tank. Note that one end of the fuel filter has a nut, while the other end has a clip. Use a wrench to remove the portion of the fuel line which enters the side of the fuel filter which has the nut. Allow any fuel which is present in the line to drain into a bucket. Use a tool for quick connect fittings to release the clip on the opposite side of the fuel filter. The quick connect fitting tool is readily available at most auto parts store's and can sometimes be rented instead of purchased. Once the fitting is released, pull the fuel line away from the filter. Press the end of the new fuel filter that has the clip onto the fuel line until the line clicks into place. Then use a wrench to tighten the end of the other fuel line to the fuel filter. The car would have to be raised and supported with jack stands on the rear axles.

IS LOCATED INSIDE THE FUEL TANK, ATTACHED TO THE FUEL PUMP In order to get to it you will need to drop the tank, but make sure it is as close to empty as possible. Then you remove the fuel sending unit, being careful not to damage the systems seal. The filter is located at the bottom of the system, it is a retangled metal screen. A new filter can be purchased at Auto Zone for about $22.00. 5/24/2012 6:14 p.m. eastern whoever wrote this is misleading you . the part they are talking about is the screen , not the filter . the filter is inline somewhere under the car or under the hood .
The fuel filter is under the hood, near the master brake cylinder attached to the fire wall. Uses a 14 mm bajo nut to hold the fuel lines on. always drain the bottom fuel line first, makes less mess when taking it out and hopefully u won't get any on the paint!! after replacing fuel filter, u may have to cycle the key a couple times to build up fuel pressure again for the engine to start, also check for leaks just in case!!
Yes A large black plastic thingy on the right hand side of the air filter as you look in under the bonnet. It holds almost half-a-litre of fuel. The two fuel pipes fitted to it have easy-release connectors - just squeeze the plastic lugs and they pull off. The front pipe is the inlet. Fuel goes into the centre of the top of the filter unit and drops into a column inside the paper filter element, then percolates through the paper to the walls of the unit, then passes over the fuel heater to exit from the pipe at the back of the unit. A wiring plug for the fuel heater is connected to the back of the filter unit, underneath it. A bleed screw at the bottom of the filter, on the right-hand side, is simply to drain any water, which will sink to the bottom of the filter bowl.

hi,first remove EFI relay and battery negative. remove underside 14 mm nut from fuel filter don't worry it is crushed nut, and 19 mm filter,( you need "snapand gripsmall" spanner, and 19 mm spanner and cloth hand gloves for grip fix spanner on vshape and thentorque and remove) put fuelcollectorunder car, then remove air filter clamp and just move away from upper fuel filter 17 mm bolt and remove, take care about two washer of bolt don't changePoisson of washer other wish fuel leak maybe happen.then removecenter10 mm and 10 mm one sidebracketbolt.then remove filter and replace new filter thenreverse things to dojustfingertit 14 mm under bolt then use 14 mm spanner and 19 mm spanner make v shape and fix, then upper 17 mm bolt with two washer put on fuel filter and fuel pipe and fix with 17 mm spanner. then 10 mmbracketnut andcenter10 mm bolt and EFI relay and battery negative install.and start car and check fuel leaks. snap and grip spanneravailableon big w storeAustralia. it is my advice.
The fuel filter is mounted on the driver's side front wheel well, but underneath the hood. I suggest removing the air filter (not needing to completely remove the filter, but enough to bend it out of your way), then loosening the top bolt of the filter that is attached to your injectors. (NOTE: fuel will pour out a little, but if you remove the bolt quickly, and then bend the tube upright, this will prohibit any more fuel from being lost.) Then proceed to detach the mounting brackets from the car and filter, then go for the hard to see/impossible to figure out bottom attachment. For this, I think I used a 14 and 18mm wrench in opposite directions to loosen the filter completely. (NOTE: when removing the filter completely there will be more fuel lost as well. Altogether maybe a Tablespoon of fuel will drop onto the ground). Assemble in reverse fashion >>>>>I just replaced my fuel filter and I busted one of the bolts. Be careful not to do the same......its difficult to spray PB Blaster on the bolt threads. I threaded the bottom fuel connection on the filter before bolting the bracket on the car. You are really blind and guessing when trying to thread. Good luck.
