It is part of the fuel sending unit which is located in the fuel tank. This unit contains the fuel pump, fuel level float, In-tank filter, etc. You will need to drop the tank to access it. It can be done in the driveway, but it can be tricky. If you are going to do it yourself, it helps if the tank is almost empty.(easier to lift it.)Good Luck!! Just too add a little note to the above. The fuel level unit and the fuel part are one unit inside the tank. They are however separte units when buying them at a dealer. The fuel module(as the dealer likes to call it) or fuel pump is one unit approxiamtely $450.00 Canadian funds, and the fuel level sensor is about $ 175.00 Canadian. IF replacing the fuel module, do the level sensor also; otherwise if the sensor goes you have to drop the fuel tank again. The level sensor disconnects from the fuel module via a small clip then slides upward, unplug the connector the top of the fuel pump, but first pull out the retaining clips and keep them for the new unit.
