I was looking at the 1996 Ford Ranger Owner Guide and the fuse for the
fuel pump is in the Power Distribution Box ( which is " live ) located in the
engine compartment on the drivers side
Unfortunately the diagram for the P D Box doesn't have any numbers so here goes
( in the row nearest the drivers side , in the 6th space from the firewall end of
the P D Box , is a 20 amp maxi-fuse for the fuel system / anti - theft system )
also in the P D Box , in the 2nd row from the drivers side , the ( 2nd large
relay ) from the front end of the P D Box is the fuel pump relay
Also , the fuel pump shut off switch ( inertia switch ) is in the front passenger
footwell by the kick panel
( # 17 ) is a 15 amp fuse for the cigarette lighter in a 1996 Ford Ranger
According to my Chilton repair manual , fuse # 16 is a 15 amp fuse for the fuel gauge on a 1994 Ford Ranger
On a 1996 Ford Ranger ( fuse # 1 is a 7.5 amp mini fuse for the power mirror ) The fuse panel is in the drivers end of the dash , the fuse panel cover is visible with the drivers door open
According to the 1996 Ford Ranger Owner Guide : ( the # 1 fuse is a 7.5 amp fuse for the power mirror )
Open the drivers door , and IN the drivers end of the dash you will see a removable plastic fuse panel cover ( the fuses are behind the cover ) on your 1996 Ford Ranger
I was looking at the 1996 Ford Ranger Owner Guide and it shows : ( mini fuse # 16 is a 30 amp fuse for the front wiper )
The fuel pump on a 91 Ford Ranger is controlled by the starter fuse and relay. This relay is located under the hood. It will be located by the fender on the drivers side.
The fuse
The 1992 Ford Ranger does not have a fuel pump shutoff switch. You can disable the fuel pump by removing the fuel pump fuse.
If it's the same as the 1996 Ford Ranger , fuse # 33 is a 15 amp fuse for the High beam lamps
I don't know if the 1995 Ranger is the same but on a 1996 Ranger , fuse # 16 is a 30 amp fuse for the front wiper according to the 1996 owners manual
checked fuse,looks good.
