Under rear of vehicle near rear axle.
It is in front of the right rear tire on a triangle shaped plate with three 10 mm bolts holding it on.
The fuel pump relay on a 1991 Subaru Loyale is located on the driver's side of the engine compartment. It is part of a bank of relay switches on the fender wall and right next to the Self Test Connector which is the last location on the far right.
in my 91 it is under the steering column
Legacy was never available with 1.8 litre motor. Legacy has no distributer. Legacy uses direct ignition. Legacy timing is computer controlled and not adjustable. loyale was only available with 1.8 litre. If you have 1991 subaru and you are sure the motor is 1.8 litre your subaru is a called a Loyal and is a piece of junk that nearly destroyed the subaru name. Get rid of the Loyal and buy a good used Legacy. Yes, make certain you have a Legacy and not the smaller Loyale-- Legacy has a more rounded nose, and Loyale has sharper edges. If you have a Loyale, (or are overseas and have a Loyale motor in a Legacy), the timing setting is approx 20 degrees BTDC if you have fuel injection (single or multiple injectors), or approx 8 degrees if you have a carburetor.
The fuel pump is in the fuel tank and the fuel tank will have to be removed to access it. If you do not have the skill or equipment to do this properly, I suggest taking it to a shop.
The 1992 Subaru loyale fuel pump relay switch???????? You have to remove the lower plastic dash assembly, get that crap out of the way. Now u need to get a 12mm socket and remove the brain. U can now see the mounting assembly, there is a Light Brown relay and a Blue one>>>>> THATS the PUMP RELAY.. it is mounted to the support bracket with on screw. GOOD LUCK.
how do you replace the fuel injectors on a 1991 subaru legacy
Where is the fuel filter located on a 2006 Subaru Legacy
On the back side of the drivers strut tower....big silver box with a blue relay on the side.
Aircompresser
Subaru Loyale fuel pumpYou are lucky. This pump is actually not located in the tank as with most fuel injected cars.Crawl under the car it isn't to far away from the tank you will see it.Before removing the pump get a helper wiggle the connections a little and have helper turn key on the pump will operate for 2 seconds to prime system before starting engine.Often the pump is fine but there is electrical corrosion just remember to turn key off then back on in between wiggling connections to get your 2 seconds of pump time
Yes, if you get into the trunk or back of the station wagon, you have to find the plate that is held with on phillips screw. Remove that plate, then you will see five 8mm bolts. Remove them and pull the fuel gauge sending unit out enough to get your hose in there. Syphon away.
The fuel pump on a 2002 Subaru Legacy is located inside the gas tank.
