The original part is a burnt orange colored RZ-0067 Main Relay and is found underneath the steering column. The relay's dimensions are close to the top flap of a hard pack of cigarettes. The relay is secured by a 10mm bolt, and is easily accessed by removing the front panel above your shins.
The said relay is frequently cited as the chief cause of not being able to start the car on a hot day. See http://www.Honda-Acura.net/forums/archive/index.php/t-85539.html, http://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1319817&postid=16772789 and http://autorepair.about.com/cs/troubleshooting/l/aa010301a.htm. It is also the least expensive (e.g. $35-50 for part) that a novice can do at home!
The RZ-0067 relay appears to have been replaced by the RZ-0063. See http://g2ic.com/forums/showthread.php?t=27612. It is identical to the RZ-0067 except it is black. See http://63.150.115.104/CommerceGateway/picturesHonda%20J-Pegs%5C39400SH3003.jpg
This is a very common reoccuring problem on Acura Integras as well as other Honda vehicles. If this information is helpful, please post it at other Honda/Acura websites for the benefit of others. It took me a couple of hours to track all of this down!
What is really astounding about this issue is that it is often overlooked even by Acura/Honda specialists and dealers!!!!!! These so called experts wanted to replace everything my distributor cap, timing belt, alternator, and fuel pump, and never suggested the relay could be a problem. I changed it a couple of weeks ago and no problems since. *knock on wood*.
If you are feeling DIY adventurous you can try separating the relay guts from the plastic housing and check for any cold/broken solders on the PCB. Hit all of the solder points with an iron while you are in there, maybe add a little solder, put it back together and see if the intermittent problems go away.
check the fuel lines.. fuel relay, fuses, and if all else fails the pump.
could not be getting spark our gas our timing belt no good
Check your negative cable to the battery.
this means your starter is bad
Hard to start when warm for your year of Integra is most likely due to the Main Relay malfucntioning. High mileage Acura/honda of the early 1990s are prone to this problem. The part is fairly cheap from your Acura/honda dealer and it takes about 10 minutes to replace.
The fuel pump relay assembly is notorious for not working when the weather gets hot. This is especially true when it is hot and sunny, which increases the temperature inside the car. This affects the relay as it is found in the dash. The relay is sometimes referred to as the "main" relay.
WHY MY ECU 15AMP FUSE BLOWS EVERYTIME I START MY 97 ACURA INTEGRA
Had the exact problem. It was the main relay. It is found near the fuse box and is a square box looking thing. Went to Acura dealership and replaced for $75 It is not your fuel pump. Some people will try to sell you this. I promise the main relay will solve the problem.
it can be lost of Compression in the Motor....
Most likely your car wont start.
I am not entirely sure since i have a 1994 integra ls, BUT.. you should probably check/test these on you're car> starter, igniter (Ignition), your alternator. Try checking terminals, one of them could be ruined on you're starter due to the rain.
no spark our timing belt snap our jumped timing
