I am in the process of changing this RELAY right now! It is up above (in the enclosed footwell area) where your left foot would rest while seated in the driver's seat. You must initially perform some removal of about two dash/footwell area panels - not overly difficult. I'm not sure yet how much of problem I will have in trying to put this altogether yet - as I haven't gotten that far yet! The relay cost me about $35.00. I have taken a picture so demonstrate the location of the relay if anybody wants it. Danny, Allentown, PA 11Jan07

In a 1992 Volkswagen Jetta, the fuel pump relay is located on the bottom row of the fuse panel. It is the fuse on the far right.

The fuel pump relay on a 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe is located underneath the hood area. It is in the power distribution box.
The fuel pump relay on a 2001 Ford Ranger is located in the distribution box under the hood. It should be relay k.
I own a 96 vw Jetta. The fuel pump relay is numbered 167 underneath the steering wheel on the right side of the fuse panel. I relaced it myself for about $11. Hope this helps you.
In a 2001 Ford Taurus : In the Power Distribution Box ( which is " live " ) located in the front of your engine compartment , near the battery : ( relay # 30 is the fuel pump relay )
Mounted inside the fuel tank.
It would be in the relay box with the other relays.
