I have not worked on a Ranger but on other Ford products I have found the relay under hood within the fuse box labeled FI or FuelINJ or F/INJ. Try swapping relay for relay; a few should be the same within the fuse box. Also, on many Fords there is a reset switch that is a safety device in the event of a roll-over. On older models this can become corroded; It is generally near the tank.. you will need to follow the wires from the top of the tank back along the frame to find it. If I were to guess, I would say this could be your problem. I hope this helps you. Mark

The fuel pump relay for the 1995 ford ranger 2,3 is located under the hood. It is in the power distribution box.
On a 1996 Ford Ranger : The fuel pump relay is in the 2nd row from the drivers side , and it is the 2nd large relay from the front end of the power distribution box
On a 2004 Ford Ranger ( for the 3.0 and 4.0 liter V6 engines ) In the power distribution box ( which is " live " ) in the engine compartment ( # 47 is the PCM relay ) ( # 48A is the fuel pump relay )
should be under the power distrubution box under the hood.
On a 1998 Ford Ranger : In the Power Distribution Box ( which is " live " ) located in the engine compartment on the drivers side Relay ( # 5 ) is the fuel pump relay and also in the P D Box ( mini fuse # 9 is a 20 amp fuse for the fuel pump relay and RAP module )
The fuel pump relay on a 2001 Ford Ranger is located in the distribution box under the hood. It should be relay k.

The fuel pump relay is in your power distribution box in your engine compartment (Ford recommends disconnecting your battery before servicing anything in the PD BOX)
