Where is the fuse box in a 2005 VW passat
The VW Passat cigarette lighter fuse can be found in the fuse box. The location of the fuse will be listed on the inside cover of the fuse box.
you can always buy more, either from an auto store, but always from the dealer. The cover to the fuse box usually tells you what the fuses are and what amp they are.
You can get a fuse box diagram for a 98 Volkswagen Passat at your local auto parts store. You can also look on the cover of the fuse box to see a list of what each fuse run.

The starter relay on a 1999 Passat is in the fuse box on top of the battery. It is on the top left portion of this fuse box and labeled as slot 'A'.

On the 2001 Passat, the fuses and relays are located on the driver-side of the dash right where the door touches it. It is behind a plastic panel which can be pulled off to access the fuses. Pull off panel and there is a guide to the fuses (fuse card) and a tool for pulling them out.

I don't know if this will be any help. There is a lot of electrical info on the Russian VW site. There is certainly a wiring diagram for the 2000 Passat B5. Have a look at http://volkswagen.msk.ru/ A lot of this site is in English and you will be able to find your way around ok; you would be downloading full VW (American) manuals! (pdf format) In my 2001 Passat and I think on all models, the fuse locations are usually printed on embossed on the back of the fuse box cover.
A Volkswagen 2006 Passat lighter can be found inside the cabin of the vehicle. It is found on the driver side fuse box, and is a yellow fuse in slot number 20.
