The hazard flasher on a 2001 Toyota Camry is located under the dash, near the hood release. It triggers the hazard lights to flash and regular intervals to notify other drivers.

There are 2 flasher relays on your Camry. One for the turn signals and another for the hazard lights. I also cannot find out where they are located with my research. My advice is to call your local Toyota dealer and ask them.

how to replace the turning flasher on a 92 camry

On my 2001 it is part of the Hazard switch. You have to replace the entire switch on a 2001.

If your hazard lights don't work but your turn signals do work it could be that your Hazard Lamp Flasher needs to be replaced. Your car has both a "hazard lamp flasher" and a "turn signal lamp flasher". Your "turn signal lamp flasher" is working but your "Hazard Lamp Flasher" may not be working. Buy a new "hazard lamp flasher" and install it. The hazard lamp flasher is located behind the instrument panel to the left of the steering column.

The turn signal flasher is incorperated with the Hazard lamp switch. The switch must be changed, then the directional lamps will work correctly.

User Avatar

Try checking the turn signal flasher. Not to be confused with the hazard flasher.

The flasher is integrated with the hazard flasher switch All of the online research that I have done suggests that the flasher is located somewhere under the ashtray in the middle of the console. I will let you know when I find mine.......Sean Laird

The turn signal flasher on a 2001 Monte Carlo is behind the hazard button on the instrument panel. You have to take out the instrument panel bezel to access it. I found this out through a Haynes repair manual for that car. I have to replace mine and did some research. The turn signals and hazard lights are both tied into the same flasher. Hope this helps.

the fix is to replace turn signal flasher the hazard flasher is separate from the turn signal flasher

User Avatar

There is no flasher can. There is a relay at the lower left in the fuse panel on the side of the dash. There is one relay that serves both hazard and turn.

User Avatar

Both the hazard flasher and signal flashers are located behind the drivers side kick panel, under the steering column. If you've found one, the other one will be very close to it. It's probably hidden behind something.

On a 97 Toyota Camry, the flasher relay is typically located under the dash. When the dash is opened, the flasher relay will be right under the gas pedal.

Separate circuits, separate fuses, separate flasher relay. Check the hazard fuse, hazard flasher and hazard switch.
