There is no cable like the older cars. Its all done electronicly now. These cars do have a problem with the heater blend door going bad. Replacement parts from the dealer only is recomended, or to have the dealer repair the problem.
Could be: Low coolant level Bad thermostat Heater control valve/cable not adjusted properly
check you heat control valve
It does not. It is cable controlled thru a "blend door". If you are having no heat, it could be because of a clogged heater core, or the cable has came off the blend door, or the blend door control.
A blocked heater core, a bad heat control valve, a bad heat control cable, low coolant.
Heat control is by air flow control doors in the a/c and heater box. There is no water valve.
low coolant bad thermostat bad water control valve (if equipted) vacuum contol door not working broken cable at switching unit at dash
The 1995 Aerostar control for the heat uses cables to move the control valves. Start by checking to see that the temperature sliding control is moving properly, and the cable is adjusting the valve for the coolant flow.
System airbound? Coolant level? Temperature control cable?
Yes, it can.
Low coolant? Bad thermostat? Heater core plugged, restricted, or air bound Temperature control valve or cable not adjusted properly?
possible bad heater control valve?
The heater control valve is bad. Sometimes the dual heater control valve will go and the AC will blow full heat.
