Not practical to try to fix a heater core. Replace it with a new one.
I have a 1986 Buick Riviera that the same thing happened to and it turned out to be a fuse blown on the GCC CRT unit. I went ahead and bought a used CRT from a junkyard for about .00.
Where the Upper radiator hose connects 2 the Engine there is a gooseneck(mounting adapter) take off the housing & there should b a thermostat there IF somebody hasn't removed it.
Under dash, passenger side, inside the vehicle, mounted on the firewall.
On the comp. screen, next to the date, press the little regtangle. This will take you to the screen where you can change both the date and time.
Mounted in the fuel tank on top.
It is under the intake manafold

The fuse for the heater is located in the main fusebox to the right of the steering wheel under the dashboard on RHD Models. It depends what your problem is really but Usually faults with the heater model relate to the heater motor resistor located on the actual heater motor itself. On the extreme left underneath the dashboard. Volksland.com

Hidden in an extremely hard to get to spot under the dash.... if you don't have A/C originally equipped from the factory all you have to do is pull out the glove box and open the heater box....
when you open up the hood look at the egine block. extrending from the heads is a tube this is where the oil is located.
