iat sensor on a 97 blazer and what does it do
The IAT sensor for a 97 Ram 2500 is on top of the engine. It is at the front on the passenger side of the intake.
The IAT sensor can be found on the top of the engine. The sensor will be near the fuel injector rail. The sensor should be labeled as such.
the intake air temp sensor is in the inlet manifold
its in the back wheel under the rotator splint
The "Check engine" light will illuminate and a code will set.
The intake air temperature (IAT) sensor of the 1997 Hyundai Sonata is located in the air hose assembly. Follow the air hose to the immediate entrance to the air filter box and that is where to find the IAT wiring harness.
The IAT on a 94-97 models is not a separate component, like on later models. It is included in the Mass Air Flow Sensor. The Mass Air Flow Sensor is the black, plastic tubular component connected at the top of your airbox on the driver's side.
It should be in the air boot between the air filter box and throttle body (it is a two wire sensor)
Be sure to check the wires going to the IAT sensor. Nissan used cheap wiring for this and it usually breaks. The problem is the wires constantly flex when the engine moves.
Never mind, got it from all-data, BTW the haynes book is totaly wrong, what a surprise.
JUST TO THE RIGHT OF THROTLE RETURN SPRING IT IS A 2 PIN PLUG.
